I LOVE this game, it has excellent audio, both music and voice acting and a wonderful retro art style. Its rely worth playing. Very cool and addictive game. The only negative point I can think of is the short length of the campaign mode. But nevertheless I had a lot of fun.. Did the campaign, I can tell it wasn’t really geared towards the single player experience. But I never got a chance to play it with friends. Either way, the campaign has some pretty bad difficulty spikes and drops. The story was simple, but interesting. And overall I liked it, aside from some of the more poorly designed and frustrating levels.. I just got this with the Humble Monthly and I'm loving it.. This game is very challenging, and a LOT of fun. I got the 50 deaths achievement within 40 minutes of play, but never once felt frustrated or that the game was unfair. The gameplay is deceptively simple: all you do is jump between platforms. However, the different level goals, and the absurd amount of continuously changing trap combinations, force you to keep an eye on the entire screen and always keep you on your toes.The campaign appears to be somewhat short, i seem to be over halfway through it within an hour of play, though your mileage may vary. Personally i feel that i got my money's worth, but you may want to keep that in mind. There is also an endless survival mode and a local multiplayer mode which further extend the game.I love everything about the game so far, from the gameplay, to the art, to the music, to the setting, and definitely recommend it.. Although you will rage alot, when you finish you feel much better.. super repetitive, lost interest. i don't think i will ever play this again. 0.5 hrs on record, card farming the rest of the time. This is a simple platforming game, that reminds of games in the 80's - which I consider a positive thing. It's a difficult game so you will die a lot. If achievements are your thing you will need to die 1000 times, which is a lot. I did enjoy playing it for a while, but I got it as part of a bundle and couldn't recommend it at full price.There are two main problems:1. You can't remap the controls. If you have Dual Shock 4 then jump is mapped to R3 so that's no good. Jump on the keyboard is spacebar, which may or may not be okay for you.2. The controls are not perfect. This is a hectic, fast-paced platform game and the jump button doesn't always work correctly. To get out of water you have to hammer the jump button - there's no precision in it.Tl;dr you will die a lot and it won't always be your fault - there are much better platformers for the money.. Penarium is ridiculous and chaotic, I love it!. love the game very simple but fun lol
